Description
The Chongo DC PowerSol® 9 premium commercial market umbrella consists of a functional patio umbrella integrated with solar charging panels and a three port USB smart battery hub. Each of the umbrella sleeves houses two to three solar panels concatenated electrically, for a total of 12 solar panels delivering a maximum of 48 watts of energy.
The PowerSol®’s smart battery hub consists of a dual cell lithium polymer ion battery and custom electronics to deliver power to USB charged electronics. The battery hub has three intelligent USB charging ports that sense the type of devices connected, allowing the battery hub to charge any USB device as fast as using a wall outlet.

How Does it Work?
Your SolarSynthesis 7 comes with a smart control electronics module that regulates the battery. This unit will prevent the battery from overcharge from the solar panel, as well as over-discharge from excessive use. Once the electronics detect a low battery, 10.5-Volts, power will be cut off from the USB Outlet until the supply return voltage of 12-Volts is reached. If the Blue LED light is no longer illuminated on the USB socket, your battery will need to recharge. This can take a couple of days depending on the sunlight and time of year.
Does it Come Ready to Use?
Yes, with a small amount of work on your part. Since the device has a constant power draw, AGIC Energy does not ship the product with the battery engaged. Upon unpacking your unit, you will see an operating manual that demonstrates the quick an easy step to connect your battery and solar panel to begin using.
How Long Does the Battery Last?
With the electronics module regulating the battery, the life should be extended to 5-8 years if used properly. A lead-acid battery, if completely discharged, can shorten its life. We recommend you disconnect the battery and solar panel during extended periods of non-use during the winter months. If you forget to do this and your battery does not charge in the spring, you can always purchase a replacement battery.
